How to Create a Job Code
Creating a job code keeps payroll, scheduling, and attendance rules aligned for every role. Use the steps below to open the Job Code Center, launch the editor, and add the optional settings your team needs.
Step 1: Open the More tab
In the mobile app, tap More in the bottom navigation to reach the administrative tools.
Step 2: Go to Job Codes
On the More screen, choose Job Codes so you can manage the catalog and create new entries.
Step 3: Open the Job Code Center
The Job Code Center shows every job, the shared Clock In Requirement, and quick actions along the bottom. Tap New Job Code to start a fresh job profile.

Step 5: Add a work site address (optional)
Use Work Site when this job code should point to a specific address. Search for the address and choose the matching result. If the site is already saved in your account, tap Choose existing site instead.

Step 6: Set a default pay rate (optional)
Turn on Default Pay Rate when this job code should apply its own rate to team members working under it. This overrides each team member’s base rate for this job code. If someone needs a different rate on the same job, adjust that team member’s specific rate separately.

Step 7: Add estimated revenue (optional)
Turn on Est Revenue if you want this job code to feed the Profit Health view. ShiftFlow uses the estimated revenue alongside total cost, net profit, and margin so you can compare expected revenue against actual job costs. When everything looks correct, tap Confirm.

Tips
- Need more roles? Repeat the flow and adjust the name and optional settings for each new job code.
- Leave Work Site, Default Pay Rate, or Est Revenue off if that setting does not apply to the job code.
- Search the full street address and choose the matching result so ShiftFlow can save the correct work site.
