Auto Clock Out helps prevent open-ended shifts. You can automatically close a shift after it reaches a maximum duration, at a specific time of day, or by using both settings together.
Step 1: Open the More tab
Open the ShiftFlow mobile app and tap More in the bottom navigation bar.
Step 2: Open Auto Clock Out
On the More screen, tap Auto Clock Out.

Step 3: Turn on Auto Clock Out by duration
Use the first toggle to enable a maximum shift length.

Step 4: Choose the maximum duration
Tap the hours row and select how long a shift can stay open before ShiftFlow clocks it out automatically.

Step 5: Optional: set a daily cutoff time
If you also want every open shift to close by a specific time of day, turn on Auto Clock Out by Time and choose the cutoff.

Step 6: Save your changes
Tap Save to apply the new rules. Use Reset if you want to discard your current edits and return to the saved configuration.
Tips
Auto Clock Out only applies to shifts that are still open.
Team members can always clock out manually before the automatic rule is reached.
Businesses often use duration for long-shift protection and time-of-day for end-of-day cleanup.
