How to Setup Holiday Pay

Holiday Pay automatically applies premium pay when team members work on recognized holidays. All holidays are enabled by default, but you can individually turn them on or off based on your business needs. Follow these steps to configure your holiday pay settings.
Step 1: Open the More tab
From the home screen, tap More in the bottom navigation bar to access account-level settings.
Step 2: Go to Account Settings
On the More screen, select Account Settings so you can review payroll configuration for the entire account.
Step 3: Enter Premium Pay
Inside Account Settings, tap Premium Pay to open the list of premium rules and edits you can make.

Step 4: Open Holiday Pay settings
In Premium Pay, tap Edit on the Holiday Premium card to view and configure holiday pay settings.

Step 5: Review the default premium amount
On the Holiday Premium screen, tap Default Premium to see the unit and amount that ShiftFlow applies when a team member works an observed holiday. Adjust the rate as needed before leaving the dialog.

Step 6: Select your country’s holiday calendar
On the Holiday Premium screen, tap Country to choose which holiday calendar determines which days are recognized as official holidays. Currently, Canada and United States are supported, with more countries coming soon. Select the country that matches your business location.

Step 7: Enable or disable individual holidays
Each holiday in the list has a toggle switch that you can use to enable or disable it. All holidays are turned on by default. If you don’t observe certain holidays in your business, simply tap the toggle to turn them off. Only enabled holidays will trigger premium pay.

You can turn individual holidays on or off at any time, and the default premium rate applies to all enabled holidays. For example, if your business doesn’t observe Columbus Day or Presidents’ Day, you can disable those specific holidays while keeping the others active.

Tips
- All holidays are enabled by default when you first set up Holiday Pay.
- After making changes, the settings save automatically when you exit the screen.
