How to Archive and Restore Job Codes

Archive a Job Code when it should no longer be selected for new work. Archiving is safer than deleting historical business context because recorded shifts and reports remain linked to the original code.

Archive a Job Code

Step 1: Open Job Code Center

Tap More → Account Settings → Job Code Center, then open the Job Code.

Step 2: Check active work

Confirm no team member is actively using the Job Code. Review current shifts and move any ongoing work to the correct Job Code before archiving.

Step 3: Archive and confirm

Tap Archive and confirm the warning.

The code disappears from new Clock In, Switch Job, and schedule selections. Historical shifts, hours, costs, expenses, and exports keep the archived Job Code name.

Restore a Job Code

Open Job Code Center → Archive, select the code, then tap Unarchive.

Archived Job Codes

Archived Job Codes are hidden from new time entries.

After restoring, review team access, pay settings, Estimated Revenue, and Work Site before asking the team to use it again. A device may need to reconnect and refresh account settings before the restored option appears.

Archive and restore Cost Codes separately in Cost Code Center. See How to Create and Manage Cost Codes.
