How to Set a Team Member's Pay Rate
A team member’s pay rate feeds their labor cost in timesheets and reports. You set it from their profile, on the Pay Rate tile. Every change is kept in the pay rate history, so you always have a record of what they earned and when.
Step 1: Open the More tab
Open the ShiftFlow app and tap More in the bottom navigation bar.
Step 2: Open Team Members
On the More screen, tap Team Members & Pay Rates.
Step 3: Open the team member’s profile
Tap the team member whose pay rate you want to set.

The rate takes effect right away and is used in their timesheets going forward.
Set a different rate for a specific job (optional)
If this team member earns a different rate for certain work, like a higher rate when they cover a Server shift, add a job-specific pay rate. It applies only when they clock in under that job code; the base rate covers everything else.
On the same Create Pay Rate screen, tap ADD next to Job Specific Pay Rate.

How this works with job code default rates
A job code can carry its own default pay rate that applies to everyone who works under it, set when you create or edit the job code (see How to Create a Job Code). A job-specific rate you add here overrides that default for this one team member. So ShiftFlow picks the rate in this order: the team member’s job-specific rate first, then the job code’s default rate, and finally their base pay rate.
Notes
- To change an existing rate later, open Pay Rate and tap Edit.
- Tap HISTORY at the top of the Pay Rate screen to see past rates and when each one applied.
