How to Set Up Shift Differential Pay
Shift Differential adds premium pay when worked time falls inside an enabled weekday and time window. It is separate from holiday and weekday-wide premium rules, so review all premium settings together.
Step 1: Open Premium Pay
Tap More → Account Settings → Premium Pay.

Step 2: Set the default premium
Open Shift Differential, then tap Default Premium. Choose the supported method and enter the amount or multiplier shown by the form.

An hourly amount adds a fixed premium for qualifying hours. A multiplier adjusts pay from the applicable base rate. Confirm the preview before saving because the same default is used by enabled differential windows.
Step 3: Enable weekdays and time windows
Turn on each weekday that should use the differential, then enter its start and end time. Overnight windows can continue past midnight; verify which weekday the product assigns the start of the window to.

Step 4: Save and verify
Tap Save, then review a completed shift that overlaps the configured window. Only worked minutes inside the window should receive the differential.
How Shift Differential combines with other pay
- Regular, overtime, and double-overtime classification still comes from account overtime rules.
- Holiday and other premium rules can affect the same shift according to the account configuration.
- Flat Rate Pay does not behave like an hourly base rate; review the Pay Explanation for the final calculation.
- Editing a shift can recalculate premium minutes.
