ShiftFlow estimates pay from recorded shift time, applicable pay rates, and account rules. A Pay Explanation shows how the displayed amount was built; it does not replace the final payroll statement.

Open a shift’s pay details

Open the completed shift from a Timesheet or past-shift list, then open the available pay or calculation detail.

Read the calculation lines

• Regular uses hours not classified as overtime or double overtime.
• Overtime and Double Overtime depend on account rules, workweek boundaries, and accumulated eligible hours.
• Premium lines come from Shift Differential, weekday, holiday, or other enabled premium settings.
• Flat Rate Pay is a saved amount for the shift rather than hours multiplied by an hourly rate.
• Bonus, Tip, and Mileage appear separately when enabled and entered.
• Expenses are reimbursements or costs and may not be treated as wages.

Understand which rate applies

A team-member rate, Job Code default rate, and shift-specific value can all affect the estimate. The Pay Explanation reflects the value selected by the product for that shift. Missing rates can make estimated pay incomplete.

Why an amount changed

Editing clock times, breaks, Job Codes, the workweek, overtime rules, or premium settings can recalculate a shift. Changes to historical account configuration should be reviewed before payroll export.

Before payroll

Resolve time corrections, confirm paid and unpaid breaks, inspect overlapping premium rules, and compare the Pay Explanation with the detailed Timesheet. Marking a period Paid only changes its ShiftFlow tracking status.
