How Trial and Seat Limits Work

Trials provide temporary subscription access. Paid plans can include a team-seat quantity or tier. The account Owner manages the subscription and seat selection.

Read the trial banner

The trial banner shows the remaining time and provides an upgrade entry. Dismissing the banner does not extend the trial or activate a subscription.

Team seats

Understand seats

A seat represents supported team capacity for the selected plan. When the plan uses a seat selector, choose enough seats for the account’s active team.

Team seats

Store subscriptions can use plan tiers instead of a direct per-seat selector. Manage them through the Apple App Store or Google Play account that purchased the subscription.

When the account exceeds its limit

ShiftFlow can show a seat-overage or upgrade requirement. The Owner should review active team members, deactivate accounts that should no longer have access, or increase the subscription capacity.

Do not delete historical records to reduce a seat count. Deactivation preserves Shifts and reports.

When time-clock access is blocked

An expired trial, inactive subscription, payment issue, or unresolved plan limit can block time-clock actions. Team members cannot resolve billing; they should send the exact message to the Owner.
