Is a statement of account the same as an invoice?
No. An invoice requests payment for a particular sale. A statement summarizes account activity and the resulting balance over a period.
How are payments and credits shown?
Invoices and debit adjustments increase the running balance. Payments and credits reduce it. Refunds increase it when money previously credited is returned to the customer.
Is this an account statement or customer statement?
