How to Read ShiftFlow Reports

Reports summarize recorded work for the selected range. They help Managers review trends and totals, but the underlying Timesheets remain the source for individual shift corrections.

Step 1: Open Reports and choose a range

Tap Reports, then select a Pay Period or custom date range. Confirm the dates before comparing totals or exporting.

Step 2: Read Team Hours

Team Hours separates Regular, Overtime, Double Overtime, Paid Time Off, and premium categories when they apply. Open the section to compare team members and identify unusual totals.

If a total looks wrong, open that team member’s Timesheet and review the individual shifts, breaks, and time off in the same range.

Step 3: Review Estimated Pay

Est Pay uses the pay rates and pay rules currently available to ShiftFlow. The paid count shows how many team members have the Pay Period marked Paid.

Estimated Pay is not a payroll transfer. Missing pay rates, pending time corrections, unfinished shifts, or a non-Pay-Period range can make the estimate incomplete.

Step 4: Review additional fields

Reports can include Bonus, Mileage, Tip, and Expenses when those account settings are enabled and data was entered on shifts. A zero means no value was recorded in the selected range; it does not necessarily mean the feature is disabled.

Step 5: Review Job Code performance

Use Job Code reports to compare hours and cost allocation by job. Job Codes with Estimated Revenue can also show cost and profit indicators. See How to Understand Job Code Performance.

Before using report totals

  • Resolve pending Time Correction and Time Off requests.
  • Confirm all active shifts are clocked out.
  • Clear Highlight filters before checking final totals.
  • Verify pay rates, overtime, premium, and break settings.
  • Export the same range used for review.

For export steps, see How to Export Timesheets and Reports.
