See the quantity calculation, not only the final number

A useful shop-floor BOM makes its basis explicit. Switch between one product and a production batch, then see base quantity, scrap quantity, final required quantity, and estimated cost for each component. The tool stays intentionally flat so it remains quick to use.

Best for: Small manufacturers, fabricators, assemblers, and shop-floor planners creating a flat manufacturing BOM for one product or batch.

Bill of Materials Generator FAQ

Is this BOM generator free?

Yes. You can calculate, import or export CSV, print, and download the PDF without an account, email gate, or watermark.

What type of BOM does this tool create?

It creates a flat manufacturing BOM for one finished product or production batch. It is not a software BOM, PLM system, or nested assembly manager.

Can I use this as a bill of materials template?

Yes. The BOM template provides repeatable fields for revision, component quantities, scrap, cost, supplier, and notes. Import or export CSV when you need a spreadsheet-friendly copy, or download the completed bill of materials as a PDF.

How does the batch calculation work?

For each part, quantity per unit is multiplied by the production batch size. The stated scrap percentage is then added and shown separately before cost is calculated.

What CSV columns can I import?

Use Part number, Description, Quantity per unit, Unit, Scrap percent, Unit cost, Supplier, and Notes. Export a CSV first if you want a ready-made header row.

Where is the BOM data stored?

The current draft is stored in this browser. ShiftFlow does not receive the product, supplier, quantity, or cost details you enter.
