Quote the defined construction scope without hiding the boundaries
A useful construction quote tells the customer what is included, what remains an allowance, which upgrades are optional, how long the price is valid, and what triggers a change order. This generator keeps those decisions next to the quoted price and customer PDF.
Best for: General contractors, builders, remodelers, estimators, and construction office teams preparing a fixed-scope project price.
The draft stays in this browser. No account, email gate, or watermark is required.
What the construction quote includes
- Project, customer, validity, and contact details
- Labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, permits, and cleanup
- Included work, allowances, and optional upgrades
- Tax, deposit, exclusions, schedule, payment terms, and acceptance
How to create a construction quote
- Identify the project. Add the business, customer, project address, quote number, issue date, and validity date.
- Build the included scope. List labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, permits, cleanup, quantities, and customer prices.
- Separate uncertainty and upgrades. Use allowances for included unknowns and optional lines for upgrades outside the quoted total.
- State boundaries and payment terms. Add exclusions, schedule assumptions, deposit, stage payments, and change-order expectations.
- Review and download. Check the customer preview and download or print the quote PDF with its acceptance section.
Construction quote FAQ
What is the difference between a construction quote and an estimate?
A construction quote normally offers a defined scope at a stated price for a set validity period. A construction estimate is an informed approximation that may change as quantities, selections, or site conditions become known. Use the document that matches what you are actually promising.
How should I show allowances and optional upgrades?
Mark an uncertain item as an allowance when its budget is included in the base total. Mark an upgrade as optional when its price should remain outside the quoted total unless the customer accepts it.
Can I use this as a construction quotation generator or quote template?
Yes. Use the quotation generator to calculate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, tax, and deposit, or treat its scope and pricing sections as a construction quote template for repeatable project proposals.
Can I include a deposit and stage payments?
Yes. Set the deposit percentage and describe the deposit, progress, and final payment milestones in Payment terms.
Does accepting the PDF create a complete construction contract?
Not necessarily. The generated quote records scope, price, validity, and basic acceptance, but it does not replace required contracts, drawings, specifications, notices, insurance terms, licensing terms, or legal advice.
