Price from your cost floor, not a generic market average

The calculator starts with what one service visit costs your business to deliver. It then works backward from a true gross-margin target while accounting for commission, fees, and expected re-service.

The main result is a per-service recommendation. Supporting results show the cost floor, gross profit at the current price, technician-hour revenue, and annual visit revenue for recurring plans.

What the pest control pricing calculator includes

  • Initial service and recurring-plan modes
  • Burdened labor, product, travel, and overhead costs
  • Callback and re-service allowance
  • Commission, payment processing, and revenue fees
  • Cost floor and true target-margin price
  • Annual recurring visit and technician-hour revenue

Pest control operator toolkit

Move from demand to customer value, route economics, pricing, break-even, commission, and a customer-ready estimate. Then use the valuation model when the decision shifts from monthly operations to business value.

How to price a pest control service

Calculate the delivery cost for one visit, add revenue-based costs, and solve for the price that leaves the intended margin.

  1. Choose initial or recurring service. Select the service model so the result uses the right unit and recurring-revenue view.
  2. Enter delivery costs. Add technician time, burdened hourly rate, product cost, and allocated overhead for one visit.
  3. Set margin and compare the current price. Enter the target gross margin and the price currently quoted or charged.
  4. Refine advanced costs. Add travel, callback allowance, commission, fees, and recurring frequency, then use the recommendation in a customer estimate.

Pest Control Pricing Calculator FAQ

What costs should a pest control price include?

Include burdened technician labor, product, travel, allocated overhead, and an allowance for callbacks or re-service. Commission, payment processing, other revenue fees, and target margin are then treated as shares of revenue. Add customer sales tax separately where required.

What is the difference between margin and markup?

Margin is profit as a percentage of the selling price. Markup is profit as a percentage of cost. This calculator uses margin, so a 30% target margin does not mean adding 30% to cost.

How does recurring pest control pricing work?

Choose Recurring plan and enter the expected visits per year. The calculator shows a per-visit recommendation and multiplies the current or suggested price by visit frequency for annual recurring visit revenue. It does not add a separately priced initial treatment.

Is the suggested price a market benchmark?

No. It is a cost-and-margin result based on your inputs. Local competition, pest pressure, property conditions, guarantees, regulations, and customer acquisition costs may justify a different final price.

Why can the target price be unreachable?

Target margin, commission, and revenue-based fees must leave some portion of revenue available to cover delivery cost. If those percentages total 100% or more, no finite selling price can satisfy all entered assumptions.
